In addition to being a 35-acre botanical garden, Clark Gardens has many wedding venue locations on the property. They asked us to design a new version of their weddings look book, that is in a different size and style, and with all new pictures. The book is 9" wide by 6" high, has 48 full-color pages and is saddle stitched. The book was printed by Clark Gardens local vendor of choice. There are over 80 trees along Clark Gardens Historic Tree Trail. Each tree in the trail is a direct descendant of the original tree of the historic location.
Clark Gardens asked that we design the signs for their historic tree trail. There are 45 total signs; each is 18" high. Clark Gardens chose to make each sign the same height for a nice uniform look across the landscape. Design continuity benefitted greatly as a result of this choice.
We developed a standardized appearance and layout for all signs through coordination and planning with Clark Gardens. This included the selection of fonts and sizes. A lot of information is on each sign, and it's critically important that they are legible.
The top of each sign includes information and photos about the type of tree(s). Following that are the history and pictures of the event(s) and individual(s). Other details include the history category icon, bibliography and credits, and the tree number for the audio tour.

This project is large and incredibly rewarding. Clark Gardens selected a vendor specializing in long-lasting print on quality outdoor media for printing.
